When you replace the solenoid, watch what wires go where.
the battery cable is where all the group of wires go, the other cable is by itself, that one goes to the starter

I bought a truck one time for $100 because it wouldn't start.
The previous owner changed the solenoid, and hooked it up backwards.
Once I got it home, I changed the wires around, and drove that truck 10 more years.

 

Wow, you definitely got a good deal on that truck.... i can work on my 2 cylinder tractors but trucks never really have.

Well changed solenoid and still nothing... what do i do now?

Ok, the one with the wires ( on the bottom) is the one that lights up when touched with a test light, right?

 

I put test light on s wire, thought thats what was said

 

This is a new test
Put the clamp to ground. Test light to the cable on the bottom with all the wires on it. See if it lights. Just like that, nothing else.

The other big wire should NOT light up when you touch the test light to it

 

Bottom lights up. Top does not
